Today marks Richard's 65th birthday.

In his last birthday post (HERE) he wondered if he would make it to 64, seeing as he'd already beaten a few odds by lasting a couple of years longer than expected.


Regrettably, he did not make it to 64.

Since his diagnosis, he tried to live as though every day was his last, and 'the gang' had a great time doing it with him.

We know he had a good time during those last couple of years - we know all too well, he had some bad times, too.

But if I learned anything from his ALS days, it's to enjoy the moment, whatever that moment is offering.
