** I'm finally feeling ready to write, but I want to do something different. So I am going to try doing a video entry to my blog. I am thinking about doing one of these each Monday, instead of doing a written entry. Please use the comments to tell me what you think of this idea. Thanks.
My name is Richard McBride and I have ALS. I was diagnosed in November 2012 at 57 years of age. This blog will cover my journey. Just remember, I am living with ALS, not dying from it. **Richard passed away 9/26/18 naturally, and NOT from ALS - he beat that sucker!!**

Love the video form. Much more personal. And you're handsome, so that helps ;)
ReplyDeleteIt's good to see you in a video! You should do what you want to do. I like your idea of little bit of writing & little bit of video. You couldn't have known 4 yrs ago how you would be so go for it! I look forward to the future.
ReplyDeleteYou are a sweet man... thanks for the blog!
ReplyDeleteHugs from Oregon!❤gg
Hi Richard,
ReplyDeleteYou must have read my mind. I was hoping to see a video post from you and voila here we have it. Thanks for doing this. As much as I enjoy reading your blog, I felt more connected with this one. Thanks for taking the time to do this, my friend.
Hmm, not working on my tablet. Bummer.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't come through on my iPad.
ReplyDeleteDid not come through on my android tablet........DARN!
ReplyDeleteHi Richard, nice to see you ! Nice video...we all have to use all the tools at our reach to help us express what's in our mind. I feel you. I feel tire very often, specially when I use the Key board.. and the "touch screen", I can't use. All and all... just take a big rest.. let's try to make the best out of what we have. By the way I'm in Florida.
ReplyDeleteI think it is a fantastic idea. If what you are doing is trying to give the reader a glimpse into this disease and your condition, what better way is there to do that than by video.
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't hurt that you are an articulate speaker either. I love the idea of a VLog weekly. Thank you sir for providing the insight that you do.
Greg
P.S. Hello Gladys, I am from Florida as well. Central to be exact. Small world to meet on a Canadians Blog :)
This is great!
ReplyDeleteIf you're not enthusiastic about the picture aspect of video blogging, why not do a voice diary to give your fingers more of a break?
